Close Reading in a Digital World

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The Common Core calls for students of all ages to annotate text. The push toward close reading has been embraced in many classrooms, but what about a digital version of this practice? With the PARCC drawing closer and eBooks becoming ever more popular, it is important for our students to fluently annotate electronic texts. This breakout will highlight Subtext, Notability, and Google Docs- three tools which offer annotating capabilities. Whether teachers use iPads or computers, they will be able to walk away with at least one tool to explore in their classroom.
