'The Sheridan Scoop' (How to Establish a Student Run TV News Program)

The Sheridan Scoop is Mark Sheridan Math and Science Academy's student run weekly TV news program. This session will show you how to create a TV news show that will help bring your school community closer together. And, you can get it up and running on a limited budget. I will share with you the basics of what is needed to get started along with some tools (Google Apps) and tricks to take it to the next level.

I have a BS in Education from Indiana University and a MS in Education Technology from Loyola University. This is my 12th year teaching. My first five were spent teaching junior high Algebra and science at Frances Xavier Warde on State Street. The last seven years have been spent at Mark Sheridan Math and Science Academy. I began teaching 6th – 8th grade science and transitioned two years ago to Technology Coordinator.
